CVE-2023-53471

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains an issue within the amdgpu driver related to the handling of graphics processing interrupts. Specifically, the cp ecc error irq interrupt is incorrectly disabled in certain scenarios involving gfx9 hardware and legacy graphics ras support. This can lead to a calltrace error, potentially impacting system stability. The issue occurs because interrupt disablement for cp ecc error irq is not properly conditioned on whether legacy gfx ras is enabled. The gfx v9 0 hw fini function is involved in this process. The issue has been resolved by retiring the cp ecc irq functions in gfx11.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
