Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s virtio uml device registration process. Specifically, when register virtio device() fails during virtio uml probe(), the code incorrectly sets vu dev->registered to 1, despite the device not being successfully registered. This can lead to a use-after-free condition or other related issues.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
