Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel versions prior to 4.19.161-mlnx.47.gadcd9e3 #1
Description
The Linux kernel contained a flaw in the RDMA/core subsystem where the 'ib port' structure was not properly validated before accessing a sysfs node. This could lead to a kernel NULL pointer dereference, potentially causing a system crash. The issue arises when accessing the sysfs node without a valid 'ib port' structure being set, resulting in an error during access.
Recommendations
Update the Linux kernel to version 4.19.161-mlnx.47.gadcd9e3 #1 or a later version to address this issue.
