Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to the ks7010 driver. Specifically, a potential buffer overflow can occur within the
ks wlan set encode ext() function. The issue arises because the key len value, received from the user, is a u16 and, if exceeding the maximum allowed value of IW ENCODING TOKEN MAX (64), can lead to memory corruption. The exc->key len variable is susceptible to this overflow.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
