Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s drm/i915 component related to handling encoder retrieval within the atomic state. Specifically, the
intel get crtc new encoder() function could lead to a system crash if a connector for the CRTC was not found in the atomic state. The issue was addressed by obtaining the device pointer from the atomic state instead of a potentially null encoder, preventing the crash.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
