CVE-2023-53573

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to clock functionality within the rs9 module. A previous commit disabled the cache without removing cache synchronization during the resume process, leading to a kernel panic when the map->cache ops is unset due to REGCACHE NONE. The fix re-enables the flat cache to support resuming and ensures the num reg defaults raw is used to read cache defaults from hardware, accommodating registers that are hardware-strapped and cannot be provided via software.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
