Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A memory leak issue was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel’s x86/xen component within the
xen smp intr init{ pv}() function. Specifically, local variables save newly allocated strings using kasprintf(). When bind {v}ipi to irqhandler() fails, the code proceeds to a fail tag and calls xen smp intr free{ pv}() to free resources. However, the newly allocated string is not saved, resulting in a memory leak.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
