No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak issue was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel’s x86/xen component within the xen smp intr init{ pv}() function. Specifically, local variables save newly allocated strings using kasprintf(). When bind {v}ipi to irqhandler() fails, the code proceeds to a fail tag and calls xen smp intr free{ pv}() to free resources. However, the newly allocated string is not saved, resulting in a memory leak.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
