CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s mac80211 module related to client probing. Specifically, the code did not first verify the existence of a client before checking the channel context, potentially triggering a warning when probing before the access point (AP) had fully started. The code has been simplified to address this issue by ensuring the client exists before proceeding with the channel context check.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
