Description The Linux kernel contains an issue where a folio lock is leaked when fscache is in use and a cache hit occurs during a read operation. This occurs because the cifs readpage worker function does not unlock the page as expected, leading to a deadlock. The issue requires a reboot to resolve. The vulnerable code is related to the cifs readpage from fscache and cifs readpage worker functions.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
