CVE-2022-50527

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s DRM/amdgpu subsystem related to size validation for non-exclusive domains. Specifically, the amdgpu bo validate size() function did not properly check for the existence of the TTM domain manager, potentially leading to a kernel oops when dereferencing the manager pointer. The issue was addressed by verifying that the manager pointer is not NULL. The fix also includes a check to report if a GTT domain is requested but uninitialized, indicating a potential bug.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
