Description
The Linux kernel contains a memory leak in the
test firmware init() function. Specifically, when misc register() fails during initialization, the memory pointed to by test fw config->name is not released, leading to a memory leak. The leaked memory is allocated using kstrndup() after a call to kmalloc node track caller(). The backtrace indicates the issue originates within the test firmware module.Recommendations
