Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s dmaengine component, specifically within the qcom-adm driver. The
slave config function incorrectly compares the peripheral size with the size of a config pointer instead of the size of the config structure. This can lead to the CRCI value being ignored and potentially causing a kernel panic on any slave utilizing the adm driver. The issue stems from an incorrect size comparison within the function.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
