Description This issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt. User interaction is required, specifically, the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The flaw resides in the parsing of CO files, stemming from insufficient validation of user-supplied data length before copying it into a heap-based buffer. An attacker can exploit this to execute code within the current process's context.
