Description The issue is related to the Web Runtime SEC component and can be easily exploited, allowing an unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. This vulnerability may significantly impact additional products and can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools accessible data. The vulnerability is also related to a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attack, which can be exploited by a remote attacker.
Recommendations For versions prior to 9.2.9.2, update to version 9.2.9.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Web Runtime SEC component to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, be cautious of potential CSRF attacks and take measures to prevent them, such as validating user requests and implementing proper security measures. At the moment, there is no other information about additional mitigation measures.
