CVSS v2.0

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions MySQL Server versions 8.0.40 and prior MySQL Server versions 8.4.3 and prior MySQL Server versions 9.1.0 and prior
Description A vulnerability in the MySQL Server product of Oracle MySQL allows a low-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the server. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of MySQL Server's accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of MySQL Server's accessible data. The issue is related to deficiencies in the authorization mechanism.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 8.0.40 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.40 to resolve the issue. For MySQL Server versions 8.4.3 and prior, update to a version later than 8.4.3 to resolve the issue. For MySQL Server versions 9.1.0 and prior, update to a version later than 9.1.0 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive data and limiting privileges to minimize the risk of exploitation.
