| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle Database Server versions 19.3 through 19.25
Oracle Database Server versions 21.3 through 21.16
Oracle Database Server versions 23.4 through 23.6
Description
The issue is related to the Java VM component of Oracle Database Server, where a difficult to exploit vulnerability allows a low-privileged attacker with Create Session and Create Procedure privileges and network access via Oracle Net to compromise Java VM. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized update, insert, or delete access to some of Java VM's accessible data, as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Java VM's accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 19.3 through 19.25, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 21.3 through 21.16, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
For versions 23.4 through 23.6, update to a version outside of this range to mitigate the risk.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access via Oracle Net to minimize the risk of exploitation.
