Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains an issue within the ASoC (Advanced Linux Sound Architecture) audio graph card component. Specifically, a reference count leak exists in the
graph for each link() function. The of get next child() function increments the reference count of a node and decrements the reference count of the previous node. In the error path of a while loop, the of node put() function is required to decrement the reference count of cpu ep to prevent a memory leak.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
