CVSS v2.0

4.6

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains an issue related to error handling within the imx8mp clocks probe() function. The issue involves potential memory leaks due to the manual release of memory not being required when using devm of iomap() and devm kzalloc(). Specifically, calls to iounmap(anatop base) on lines 427 and 433 have been removed. Additionally, the code now checks the return code of of clk add hw provider and unregisters hardware providers if the function returns a negative value, enhancing program robustness.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
