CVE-2023-53711

CVSS v2.0

4.6

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw related to Network File System (NFS) that could lead to potential data corruption. The issue arises from an incorrect handling of subrequests during retransmission, specifically when the head of the request is not present on the commit lists due to synchronous server writes. A missing step to re-add the head to the retransmission list can occur. The fix involves adding a call to mirror the effect of the nfs cancel remove inode() function for O DIRECT operations.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
