CVSS v2.0

6.0

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the peak usb CAN driver related to a shift-out-of-bounds issue. The driver did not explicitly use a 64-bit constant when shifting bits, which is necessary for PC CAN FD interfaces. This issue has been resolved by using a 64-bit constant when the number of bits used for shifting is 32.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
