Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the PCI endpoint functionality (pci-epf-test). Specifically, the
dma chan tx and dma chan rx fields within the pci epf test structure can be NULL after initialization. The absence of checks for these NULL values before releasing the DMA channels can lead to NULL pointer dereferences, potentially causing a kernel panic. The vulnerable code resides in the pci epf test clean dma chan() function.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
