CVSS v2.0

VectorAV:L/AC:H/Au:S/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel's crypto component related to context allocation and freeing operations within the compression framework. A discrepancy in the definition and order of alloc ctx and free ctx operations between the crypto acomp streams structure and the scomp alg structure, potentially caused by structure layout randomization, could lead to issues. The issue was addressed by removing a union from the scomp alg structure to ensure both structures share the same definition and layout for these operations.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
