Description An improper access control issue exists in some Intel(R) PresentMon versions before 2.3.1 within Ring 3: User Applications. This may allow a denial of service. A network adversary with a privileged user and a high complexity attack may enable denial of service. The issue may occur via adjacent access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential impact to the system includes low availability.
Recommendations Update to version 2.3.1 or later.
