Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Custom Post Type plugin for WordPress versions prior to 1.1
Description
The Custom Post Type plugin for WordPress is susceptible to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). This is a result of a lack of nonce validation when deleting custom post types. An unauthenticated attacker could potentially delete custom post types by deceiving a site administrator into performing an action, such as clicking a malicious link. The vulnerability exists because of missing nonce validation on the custom post type deletion functionality.
Recommendations
Update the Custom Post Type plugin to version 1.1 or later.
