| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Librenms versions up to 24.10.1
Description
The issue concerns Cross-site Scripting (XSS) in the
/addhost API endpoint, specifically in the community parameter. This allows remote attackers to inject malicious scripts, which execute when a user views or interacts with the page displaying the data. The malicious script can lead to potential unauthorized actions or data exposure. The issue has been addressed in release version 24.11.0.Recommendations
For Librenms versions up to 24.10.1, update to version 24.11.0 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
/addhost API endpoint and the community parameter to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the community parameter in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.Exploit
