Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
NMIS/BioDose versions prior to V22.02
Description
NMIS/BioDose versions prior to V22.02 utilize a shared SQL Server user account for database access. Client application user access is controlled by password authentication within the client software; however, the underlying database connection maintains consistent access rights. The latest version introduces Windows user authentication, which restricts database connection access.
Recommendations
Upgrade to NMIS/BioDose version V22.02 or later to utilize Windows user authentication for database connections.
