CVE-2025-40279

None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A kernel information leak exists in the networking subsystem, specifically within the tcf connmark dump() function. The tc ife structure was not fully initialized, leading to uninitialized padding bytes being copied to userspace via nla put() during netlink message transmission. Initializing the structure with memset before assigning its fields resolves this issue, ensuring all members and padding are cleared before being copied.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
