Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contained an issue where
ptp clock gettime() and ptp sys offset() functions incorrectly assumed that every ptp clock had implemented either gettimex64 or gettime64. This could lead to a NULL dereferencing condition. The issue was addressed by stubbing the gettimex64 function and returning -EOPNOTSUPP. The ptp clock was implemented for sole use of do aux work at the time of the fix.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
