CVE-2022-50626

CVSS v2.0

4.6

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/Au:S/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains a memory leak in the dvb usb adapter init() function. Syzbot identified that the memory leak occurs because the adapter's private data (adap->priv) is not freed in error scenarios within the function, specifically in error paths related to dvb usb adapter stream init(), dvb usb adapter dvb init(), and dvb usb adapter frontend init(). This results in unreferenced memory being allocated and not released when errors occur during initialization.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
