No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s DRM subsystem related to the dw-hdmi driver and SCDC interface. A change in a previous commit introduced a situation where the incorrect connector was used to provide i2c adapter information for dw-hdmi, leading to a NULL pointer dereference. This issue occurs because the embedded connector structure in dw-hdmi is only populated when explicitly requested during the bridge attachment callback. The fix involves accessing dw-hdmi’s current connector pointer during the bridge enablement stage.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
