Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s SCSI subsystem, specifically within the
ses enclosure data process() function. This issue involves a slab-out-of-bounds read condition, potentially triggered by insufficient sanitization of data before accessing memory locations. The problem occurs when processing enclosure data, leading to a potential kernel crash. The issue was identified through Kernel Address Sanitizer (KASAN) reporting.Recommendations
