Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue was identified in the Linux kernel related to clocking-wizard functionality. Specifically, a potential error pointer dereference exists within the clk wzrd register divider() function. If devm clk hw register() fails, it sets a hardware pointer (hw) to an error value, which is then dereferenced in the subsequent line, leading to a potential system crash (Oops). The issue was detected by Smatch, a static analysis tool.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
