Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the MediaTek video codec component related to runtime power management. Specifically, a crash can occur when attempting to disable power management (
pm runtime disable) if the architecture support sub-device is NULL. This can lead to system instability. The issue is observed during decoder disabling. The crash log indicates a problem within the raw spin lock irq and pm runtime disable functions, triggered during the mtk vcodec probe function.Recommendations
