Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel's f2fs file system implementation. Specifically, the issue concerns flushing of inodes when an atomic file operation is aborted. Failing to properly flush the inode can lead to stale dirty inode data during eviction, potentially triggering a bug in
f2fs evict inode. This can result in an invalid opcode error and a kernel panic.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
