Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the drm/sysfb subsystem where a NULL pointer dereference can occur in the
drm gem reset shadow plane() function during plane reset operations. Specifically, the plane->state can be NULL, and attempting to dereference this NULL pointer is prevented by forwarding NULL to other plane-reset helper functions and clearing plane->state to NULL.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
