Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to a null pointer dereference within the bnxt bs trace check wrap() function. Older firmware versions may trigger an ASYNC EVENT CMPL EVENT ID DBG BUF PRODUCER event for firmware trace data that hasn't been initialized, leading to a crash in the bnxt bs trace type wrap() function. A guard has been added to verify the validity of the magic byte pointer before processing.
