Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s DRM/amdgpu subsystem that can lead to a GPU page fault after hibernation on PF passthrough environments. Specifically, after resuming from hibernation in a pass-through configuration, the coralgemm component may cause a GPU page fault. This occurs because the partition mode is not restored upon resume, leading to incorrect register settings (
mmCP HYP XCP CTL and mmCP PSP XCP CTL). Consequently, when the CP accesses the MQD BO, an incorrect stride size is used, resulting in out-of-bounds access and a page fault. The issue is addressed by ensuring the gfx v9 4 3 switch compute partition() function is called during resume from hibernation.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
