Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s drm/msm subsystem related to the handling of
last fence. The issue occurs because last fence is not consistently updated, specifically in vm-bind contexts, leading to potential resource freeing while still in use. This can result in faults when resources are freed prematurely. The last fence variable is used to ensure work completion in vm bind contexts, but was not utilized in kernel managed contexts.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
