CVE-2025-68316

None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description An issue exists in the Linux kernel where an incorrect error return value during device probe can lead to system instability. Specifically, after DME Link Startup, a failure during driver probe incorrectly propagates a non-negative error code (1) instead of a negative value. This causes the probe to be incorrectly considered successful, even when it has failed. Subsequently, removing the driver results in a system error because the driver is not in a valid state. The root cause is a mismatch between the expected error code format and the actual return value from ufshcd init().
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
