Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel related to RCU protection within the
md wakeup thread function. An attempt was made to use Read-Copy-Update (RCU) to protect a pointer, thread, but the pointer's value was directly passed to md wakeup thread() before acquiring an RCU read lock. This bypasses the intended RCU protection, potentially leading to a use-after-free condition.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
