Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s drm/msm/dpu subsystem where unallocated resources can be returned. Specifically, if a topology requests resources not created by the system, the
dpu rm get assigned resources function may return an array containing null pointers instead of valid pointers, potentially leading to a system lockup due to null-pointer dereferences. The issue arises because the number of blocks returned can exceed the number of allocated blocks.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
