None

No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description The Linux kernel contains an issue within the networking component related to IPv4 address handling. Specifically, a memory leak occurs in the inet del ifa() function when deleting an IPv4 address, particularly a secondary address. This leak happens due to an incorrect 'last prim' value, leading to lost secondary address memory and leaked references to in device and net device. The issue can be reproduced by creating a bond interface, configuring it to promote secondary addresses, adding IPv4 addresses (including a secondary address), and then deleting the primary address and the bond interface. The reproduction steps involve using commands like ip link add, sysctl, ip addr add, and ip link delete.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
