Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the iwlwifi component, specifically in the
iwl mvm max amsdu size() function. This issue arises when handling Multiple Logical LANs (MLO), where accessing channel information through vif->bss conf.chandef.chan->band can lead to a NULL pointer dereference because bss conf is not utilized in this context. In scenarios involving real MLO configurations, both Logical MACs (LMACs) must be considered, as a station might be active on both simultaneously.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
