Description A flaw exists in the Linux kernel's ice network driver. Calling ethtool during a reload operation can lead to a kernel NULL pointer dereference because the Virtual Switch Interface (VSI) is not configured for a period while the network device is active. This can result in a system crash. The issue occurs when attempting to access ring parameters during the reload process.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
