No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel versions prior to 5.19.0-rc6
Description The Linux kernel contains a flaw within the mt76 mt7921e driver that can lead to a crash during module removal (rmmod) in a stress test scenario involving rapid module loading and unloading (insmod/rmmod). The issue arises from a missing check for the availability of mt76 dev data before the mt7921 pci remove() function is called, potentially causing a memory access error. This can occur when attempting to cancel work timers during the removal process.
Recommendations Update to a newer version of the Linux kernel that addresses this issue.
