Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s dmaengine subsystem, specifically within the qcom-adm module, related to an incorrect calling convention for the
prep slave sg function. The prep slave sg function should return NULL on error and provide an error log. However, qcom-adm returns an error pointer, which can lead to a kernel panic, as observed with the nandc driver. The root cause is qcom-adm not adhering to the expected calling convention. This issue does not involve any known exploitation or affected devices. The vulnerable function is prep slave sg.Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
