Description
The Linux kernel contains a flaw in the iwlwifi component related to a potential NULL pointer dereference. Specifically, the issue occurs during the removal of a PCI device, where
iwl pci remove() may attempt to access memory that has already been freed by iwl pci probe(). This can lead to a kernel crash. The error messages observed include "BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference" and references to the iwl pci remove function.Recommendations
