Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description A memory leak was identified within the orangefs module in the Linux kernel, specifically in the orangefs prepare debugfs help string() function. This leak occurs during the insertion and removal of the orangefs module, resulting in unreferenced objects remaining in memory. The issue stems from a failure to properly free the debug help string buffer when the module is removed or when changes are made to the free debug help string function. The backtrace indicates involvement of kernel memory allocation functions like kalloc trace.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
