Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
A flaw exists in the Linux kernel’s MPTCP implementation. Specifically, a NULL pointer dereference can occur on fastopen early fallback. This happens when the system falls back to TCP early, and the subflow context is deleted before being returned to the caller. The fastopen path then attempts to access this deleted context, leading to the dereference.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
