No severity ratings or metrics are available. When they are, we'll update the corresponding info on the page.
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux kernel (affected versions not specified)
Description
The soundwire subsystem contains an issue related to enumeration completion. The subsystem utilizes completion structures to manage device enumeration, but the signaling mechanism is flawed. It fails to signal all current and future waiters, and employs an incorrect reinitialization function, potentially leading to memory corruption if waiters remain in the queue. This impacts sound card probe deferrals and codec runtime power management implementations, as waiting for enumeration during resume can timeout despite the device already being enumerated.
Recommendations
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
